A Blazing Fire!

Baby, it's cold outside!--but we are nice and warm inside, thanks to our NEW fireplace! Please excuse the lack of rock--that is soon to be finished. The important part is that we have a roaring fire to keep us warm during these cold winter days! I'll be sure and post a picture when it's all done, for now we are enjoying the warmth!

Update on Kyler

We finally have an appointment!! I spoke with the nurse again today and he will start his appointments on Monday, March 22. (He has to be on a medicine for 8 weeks prior to the scope - starting next week). He will be having an upper and lower scope. The upper he has had several times, but never the lower - so this will be new. He will also see the team allergist and some other specialists. We will be getting an itinerary shortly and have more info. But for now, we are happy they accepted him and that we have appointments in the near future.

Oh - and if you're wondering about the weather . . . it's cccoooolllldddd!!! and no school today - roads are pretty bad.

Nothing to blog about?

That's right, as Jayden says, "I got nothin'!". Left over snow, freezing cold temps and the anticipation of this "Artic Blast" that is on its way-- that's about it for us. The boys went back to school on Tuesday (thank goodness!) -- you know that song, "and mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again. . ." I TOTALLY get that song now! Jayden's been consumed with his gun he got for christmas and last night had the "best" idea --- we could hang it over the fireplace --"wouldn't THAT loook good?" . . . he was so serious and SO wanted his bebe/pellet gun on display in our living room. I think I am inches away from guns on the mantle, buck on the wall and large reclining sofas with cup holders in them the older my boys get! It is amazing I have held on to the position of decorator for this long -- I am holding on tight - I won't go without a fight!
I'm sure I'll have some pictures of us surviving these negative degree temps soon. . . stay tuned.

SNOW Day!!!!

We woke up this morning to beautiful snow!! Actually, Kyler was the first to see the snow, when Kerry stumbled into the kitchen this morning (it's my day to sleep late:)) he found Kyler on the deck in full snow attire throwing snowballs! (He's our little early riser!)

Game Day!

It was game day for football fans and we had game day for Wii fans! Mike, Hayden and Madison joined us in some gaming fun last night. We rooted on the Rebs and Hogs, ate fajitas and tried to defeat Browser (in case your not a Wii junkie - that's part of Mario Bros!)

See Ya in December 2010. . .

Just realized that I never posted a picture of our tree this year. I finally got a pre-lite artificial tree -- so we were able to put it up on Thanksgiving and leave it up through the new year - without needles all over my house! However, we did miss out on the annual torching of the tree which is usually quite exciting!- oh well.

Also, had to get a pic of my Santa collection.

A 10K on New Years Day

That's right, new years resolution #1: Exercise more ((check))! Already done! Except, that I am SUPPOSSED to be training for a half marathon in February and this is pretty much the extent of my training thus far -- throwing myself into a run! But, I completed it and had the best cheering squad around! The boys weren't so impressed - they just wanted to know (1) Did you Win, Mommy? and (2) Well, what place did you come in?
