Kansas City Christmas Getaway

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  We decided for a spur of the moment getaway we would head to Kansas City and get some Christmas Spirit . .  and good food, shopping, swimming and fun times!
Lego World - is Awesome!!  We could have spent days there!

How many lego blocks do you weigh??? Evan: 9,000.  Kyler: 12,000 and Jayden: 14,000!

Oh the things that can be made with Legos!

Cool games to play!

The boys created their own cars for racing. . . they would test them on the track and then do modifications to make them WINNERS!

There were even rides!  We all rode this one - you get to shoot at the bad guys while riding through - pretty cool!
This ride spun around and you had to peddle to stay up - hard work!  Evan and I were in the ride in front of Jayden and Kyler.
Here is some of the racing action!

The aquarium we super cool too!  We can't go somewhere and not work in some sea life!

The Mayors tree is bigger than the Rockefeller Christmas tree!
We also took to the ice!  No pics of me and Evan - we didn't last long!  I was pretty close to busting it by myself - add trying to hold Evan too and we decdided to hug the wall!
A nice little getaway!  I shopped and the boys got to hit the indoor pool and hottub!  Not to mention good food and fun!  Back to school was a little rough on the Pitts boys this morning!

Gumdrops & Peppermints

Christmas cookie time!  Giant Gingerbread men - the perfect mid-week dessert!
 Busy boys.
 Jayden decorating.
 Kyler decorating.
Evan decorating.

The best part . .  yummo!

BALL HOGS

Woo Pig!  We hit the court on Tuesday night for the Arkansas/Oklahoma game!  Apparantly, Kyler is famous -- of course we FORGOT TO RECORD the game!  We knew he was on the jumbo tron for what seem liked forever - come to find out he was also on TV!
Kyler, Jayden and Tusk.
Kyler and his friend Chase.
 Cheering.
Our seats were AWESOME!  Courtside . . like REALLY close - it was exciting to feel so much in the action!
 More cheering.

We got there early and stayed late.  Evan stayed with his friend Briston - he's not really into staying for entire games anyway.  The Hogs won!! It was a close and exciting game.  Go Ball Hogs!

Parade of FUN

The boys got in on some candy throwing, truck and trailer riding fun!

Jayden, Luke, Jacob and Payson
Evan and Bris
Me and Brittney

 Kyler, the candyMAN!
 Kyler and Jalee

After some hard paradeing . .  steak and seafood from PowerHouse is in order!!

Fun Holdiay Times

In between all the regular stuff, we've been working in some extra fun too!
Me and the Boys took to the Cinema for "Rise of the Guardians"  super cute movie!
Yes, that is Kyler's straw - he likes to link several together.  I made him fold it over -- that could be quit annoying to the people behind us!
Pop's b-day was Sunday, they weren't up here - but his gift is ready and wrapped in Averengers paper (cause "Pop loves super heros" - we can celebrate next weekend.
Auntie M stopped by to give me my bday gift and the boys decided to have bellys too!
Pajama day AND hat day - doesn't get much better at Williams Elem. than that!!  This was before Thanksgiving Break.
The boys final spending session on themselves before December.  From here on out, allowances are to be saved and spent on Christmas gifts for your brothers.  Major decision making skills in effect here!
Kyler has been waffling a bit with Santa - but after a showing of Author Christmas - this was put in the mailbox :)

Bring Out the Holly

It's that time of year!  Christmas music in the car (no I will not change it to "normal music"), explotion of holiday decor in the house (more than I have room for!) and  tree and home trimmed!

shhhh!  Kyler really wanted to be the one to be the star on top . .  so we let him after his brothers went to bed:)!
The employees of Hobby Lobby probably consider me a regular . .  actually, I am headed there when I finish blogging!

Now, if the temperature could just drop 30 degrees and we could get some snow it would really be lookin' like Christmas!

GIVINGthanks

There are so many things to be Thankful for and we always love spending time with family, friends and EATING to celebrate our thankfulness!  This year I am especially thankful for the fact that I usually don't have to cook all the holiday meals!!  THANKFULLY, I had my own talking cookbook (Mom) and a cleanup crew (Dad) to get me through it!  (above:  Evan is helping me with the pie crusts)
IMim and Jayden conquoring the fruit salad
Jayden wheeling CiCi around.

One thing I love about Thanksgiving is that I get to spend time with my besties and their kiddos!  The boys (and lone girl -sweet Molly) had lots of fun hanging out together!
A backhoe, a hottub, a fire and acres of woods to explore - perfect playground!

Looks like Zac is doing some posing:)!  Kyler didn't get to join in on the pre-thanksgiving fun - he had a sleep over in Fayetteville, so he stayed with Kerry, partied with his friends, helped Kerry announce for the basketball games and "worked"with Kerry - then they joined us on Wednesday night.

Pop, Evan and Blu on the 4-wheeler
Evan riding the 4-wheeler in Sheridan.  Sadly, we didn't get much time to spend at Papaw's - the boys got a nasty virus that was hitting them hard! The rest of the week - fevers and symptoms kept going up! (except for Evan - I guess that booster shot he got is working!).  By Friday the 2 sickies and I had to head back up to the Hill - while Kerry and Evan spent time with MeMe. Not exactly how we had planned to spend the break - but at least we got some fun in on the front end of the trip!  We also missed Auntie M and Adam (and Avery!) - but probably best that they weren't exposed to our sickies!
