GROUND BREAKING!

I got so behind on the blog and was so proud for finally catching up that I almost forgot the most ground breaking news of all . . .  the house!!! It's actually in progress!  I had envisioned cute family pics of us gathered around a golden shovel . .  but this will have to do!

Luckily, the new home site is pretty close to our rental - so I can swing through and check on the progress.  The plumbing and foundation are done, I can't wait til they have this sucker framed up!  Our new address is 14408 Bethal Blacktop Road and I can't wait to be there!

Goodbye Football Hello Basketball

It was a super exciting football season!  Both the 5th and 6th grade teams made it to the Championship!  They've got a pretty great coach, so I'm not surprised!
We've had a great cheering section this season!

Jayden finished up his season too.  He played on Thursday night, and swapped his cleats for basketball shoes on Friday!
Let Basketball season begin!  We spent Sunday on the court. Scrimmage game and announcing of players for Jayden and microphone time for Kerry!
Go CARDS!!!

Fall Celebrations!

Fall is a beautiful time of year to get married . .  but a BUSY time to celebrate an anniversary!! Happy 15th Anniversary to us!!
We celebrated with a little Bikes, Books and BBQ! (Vegas, Key West, Williams Elementary . .  all the same, ha!) Evan did when a Bike, wahoo!!
Halloween Festival at Ledbetter . .  this kid was "Lovin' it"! He came up with his costume idea and it was a hit!
 Ronald in a conga line . . .

last day to wear his jersey to school for the football season,  (He looks 18 to me . . coffee and ipad in hand!)
This kid is "tough"!  Vocabulary parade time!
Trick or treaters!!  Poor kyler was running a high fever - we stuck a mask on him and he went along for the ride.  Evan was so excited about Halloween - I don't know why - but he ran and treated, and you would have thought he was already on a sugar rush! No huge load of candy this year -- cccooollld outside and we were minus one treater.  Better make up for it next year!
Jayden, Payson and Jacob headed out after the trick or treating for some zombie attack at Modern Mission (12 years and up only).  And so are the fleeting days of 3 litttle treaters . . . I'm afraid it's on to more big boy stuff from here on out!

Then it was time for the annual Johnson Halloween Party.  Kerry and I didn't go to our big Halloween party this year - so we had to come with some last minute costumes for the family party. . . .Here is 1970's basketball player Uncle KeKe and a super cute little black cat! It will be our last Halloween party with the Johnson's in NWA . .  I guess we will have to travel to North Carolina next year?!

Footballs and Pumkins

This is how Jayden spends his Saturday mornings . .  working! It's pretty enjoyable work, though (plus he has to be at the games anyway!)
Kyler got his cheerleader at a game, too!
 Cheering section . . .

 Pumpkin Patch time!

It was a fun, beautiful fall afternoon!
Check out our favorite 7th grader!  He hasn't had as many games as Peewee.  We sure love to see him play!

We were still optimistic that this kid could possibly eat some cheetoes in his future . . Future, probably . . near? not so much.  Milk allergy went UP, urrrgghhh! and Egg stayed the same.  Here's to hopes for next year!
He did get a Burger King breakfast and a late arrival to school.
Our last scheduled home game was rained out, but that's okay - that just means we get to reschedule for a night game, under the lights!
It was the pink out game.  (note to Kyler:  don't put stickers all over your face when your allergic to LATEX!)  Nice little red marks all over his face for the next day or two!
Jayden and I traveled to Jay, Oklahoma for his game and then made it back in time to see some of the Peewee games - it was a full Monday!

Life's a Dance . . .

How can he be going to his first Jr. High dance?! Ssssllllooooowwww down please!
 Jayden and his date, Allie.
And this is how it all began . . . quite the event to ask a girl to a dance!
 too much cool . . .
We made it through the first dance milestone - with a little drama, but hey - that just makes it exciting!
This kid is crossing his fingers that he can do a milk challenge in the upcoming weeks.  I just don't know if this will be the time . .  but his heart is set on some cheetos (of all things)!

While Dads away  . . . No need to worry, Evan keeps his side of the bed warm for me!
Evan has his xbox set up on his top bunk (hey, when you have to temporarily share a room with your brother, you get creative to find your own space!)

Field Fun

The annual Ledbetter tailgate party!  I guess this will be my last one for a few years until Evan gets here!

Game captain time for Kyler and Pop and CiCi were here to cheer the CARDS on!

Then there is this kid . . . notice his new do?!

Time for some Jr High football in Oklahoma!

We seem to live game by game!  Peewee on the weekends and Jaydens during the week (throw in some Monday/Wednesday practices and you've always got a week FULL of football!
