Evan was up at the crack of dawn, fully dressed (shoes, hat, zipped hoodie and teeth brushed!) tapping on my forehead that he was ready to go. I had to make him jump in bed with us and sleep a few more hours! That boy was ready!
The boys were great little travelers! We had lots of stuff to lug - so we just set up camp at the gate. Kerry called it our yard sale!
Evan's enthusiasm didn't stop ALL DAY LONG! He was a bundle of wildness . . he blamed it on the 2 sips of mountain dew he had - but I don't think the Dew can DO that! We had a zoo of stuffed animals with us and the numbers only grew as we traveled!
This is it, end of day one - finally in Miami and headed to Key Largo for the night!
We stopped at John Pennekamp National Park and got in some nature! Lots of wildlife, paths, aquarium and fun. We had planned on snorkeling - but it was a little overcast and we were ready to keep on hopping and get to Hawks Cay!
You didn't think these boys would miss out on getting in some Florida mud did you! A quick salt water rinse and we're off to Hawk's Cay for some Resort Living!
